CareRx Clears Path for C$5.7 Million Share Buyback

Toronto Stock Exchange regulators have authorized CareRx to launch a fresh share repurchase program, allowing the pharmacy services provider to cancel up to 2.75% of its public float. The move comes as the company seeks to stabilize its equity following a 15% slide in market valuation since January.

CareRx Clears Path for C$5.7 Million Share Buyback

The company plans to repurchase up to 1.75 million common shares over the next twelve months, with the buyback window officially opening on September 17. Based on Monday’s closing price of C$3.26 per share, the total value of the authorized repurchases reaches approximately C$5.7 million.

CareRx stock has struggled throughout 2026, currently trading at roughly C$3.26, or $2.34 in U.S. currency. By utilizing a normal course issuer bid, the firm aims to reduce its outstanding share count, a strategy often employed to signal internal confidence when market performance lags behind expectations.
