The mission centers on the IM 300 spacecraft, which carries the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory's Visible to Shortwave Infrared instrument. Beyond Earth observation, the flight will serve as a testbed for technologies intended for future lunar and Martian exploration. KSAT will deploy its Integrated Mission Services, leveraging its expansive global ground station network to maintain constant connectivity throughout the mission lifecycle.

Dan Adams, general manager of KSAT Inc., noted that the partnership focuses on delivering mature, predictable commercial solutions for NASA’s scientific objectives. Rizwan Parvez, senior director of business development at Intuitive Machines, emphasized that the collaboration combines their spacecraft integration expertise with KSAT’s operational infrastructure to ensure mission resilience. Based in Tromsø, Norway, KSAT operates the world’s largest commercial ground station network, including strategic polar sites in Svalbard and Antarctica.
