Hertz Investors Face September 22 Deadline in Securities Fraud Lawsuit

Investors who purchased Hertz Global Holdings common stock between May 7 and June 23, 2026, have until September 22 to move the court to serve as lead plaintiff in a pending securities class action lawsuit, according to an announcement from the Rosen Law Firm.

The lawsuit alleges that Hertz misled shareholders regarding the company's financial health during the specified period. Specifically, the complaint asserts that the rental car giant failed to disclose that its liquidity was depleting faster than represented and that the company required a distressed capital raise to meet its obligations. Furthermore, the action claims that management downplayed the impact of a softening used-car market, which was negatively affecting net depreciation and Adjusted Corporate EBITDA.

Investors who purchased shares during the class period are not currently represented by counsel unless they retain an attorney. While the Rosen Law Firm is soliciting participants to join the action, the firm notes that an investor's ability to participate in any eventual recovery does not require them to serve as a lead plaintiff. The firm, which has litigated significant securities cases, encourages investors to review their legal options before the upcoming court deadline.
