Chief Executive Dusan Senkypl characterizes this shift as an inevitable transition, predicting that personal agents will soon become the primary interface for discovery and transaction in local commerce.
Beyond direct agent access, the initiative invites developers to build specialized platforms using filtered Groupon data. Creators can curate niche apps—ranging from wellness-focused portals to neighborhood activity hubs—and earn commissions on the resulting sales. Groupon has already established foundational integrations for this ecosystem, embedding its services as a plugin for OpenAI’s ChatGPT and a connector for Anthropic’s Claude.
