Market Movers: Generac Soars as Longeveron Plummets

A $2.4 billion agreement to supply data-center generators to Amazon sent Generac shares climbing 35% to $237 in Wednesday’s after-hours trading. This massive surge highlights a volatile session for investors, as other market players experienced sharp swings following new licensing deals, failed clinical trials, and public stock offerings.

Market Movers: Generac Soars as Longeveron Plummets

Vicor shares followed a similar upward trajectory, gaining 11% to reach $204 after the company granted a new license to an original equipment manufacturer. The momentum shifted abruptly for other firms, however. Longeveron saw its valuation collapse, with shares sinking 60% to $2.69 after announcing that a pediatric heart condition trial failed to meet its primary clinical endpoint.

Viant Technology also faced downward pressure following the announcement of an underwritten public offering. The company confirmed that a significant stockholder plans to offload 8.5 million shares, a move that triggered a 10% decline, leaving the stock at $11.10.
