Hefei Hosts 2026 World Manufacturing Convention

With over 900 companies preparing to showcase innovations across 70,000 square meters, the 2026 World Manufacturing Convention opens in Hefei on September 20. The four-day event aims to solidify Anhui’s industrial ascent by facilitating partnerships for 946 projects valued at more than RMB 400 billion.

The convention, themed "Intelligent Manufacturing for a Better Future," draws more than 1,000 global guests, including ministerial-level officials and executives from Fortune Global 500 firms such as Mitsubishi Electric, Merck, and Air Liquide. The United Kingdom joins as the guest country of honor, highlighting an international roster that includes participants from France, Russia, and the United States. Programming focuses on high-growth sectors, ranging from electric vehicle supply chains and quantum technologies to embodied AI and biomanufacturing.

Beyond the primary exhibition, which features interactive displays at Luogang Park, the event extends across the region. Wuhu will host the Low-Altitude Economy Development Conference, while Chuzhou and Tongling stage specialized sessions on energy storage and copper processing. This gathering arrives as Anhui reports a significant industrial surge, with provincial manufacturing revenue climbing to RMB 5.9 trillion—a shift that places the region fifth nationwide in high-quality manufacturing development. Collaborative forums with the National Manufacturing Strategy Advisory Committee will further analyze these trends through the release of the 2026 Manufacturing Digital Transformation Capabilities report.
