Xryma Plc Shifts Focus to Commercial Growth After Infrastructure Pivot

Nicosia-based banktech group Xryma Plc reported a profit of €0.03 million for the first half of 2026, marking a significant decline from the previous year as the firm prioritized heavy infrastructure investment over immediate revenue gains ahead of an expected commercial expansion in the final quarter.

The company’s H1 2026 financial results reflect a deliberate trade-off. By focusing on deep systems upgrades—including the completion of the Eurosystem T2 integration in June—the group accepted a temporary dip in client revenue to €16.9 million, down from €27.7 million in the same period of 2025. Despite this pressure, Xryma maintained a robust balance sheet, closing the half-year with €59.4 million in net assets and €50.9 million in cash reserves.

While core profitability narrowed, the firm’s technology services division emerged as a bright spot, posting a 77% revenue increase to €1.65 million. This growth, driven by recurring SaaS income and platform licensing, serves as the foundation for the group’s next phase. CEO Nikogiannis Karantzis noted that the firm’s infrastructure is now primed for activation, with management expecting the benefits of these investments to materialize through improved operating leverage starting in 2027. Following the approval of its prospectus by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission in July, Xryma is now actively advancing plans for a stock exchange listing to broaden its capital market access.
