Latinas in Cannabis Summit Returns to Los Angeles to Scale Representation

As the cannabis industry matures, the fourth annual Latinas in Cannabis Summit arrives in Los Angeles on Sept. 26 to move beyond mere celebration. Founded by industry leader Susie Plascencia, the event aims to build concrete infrastructure for women entrepreneurs, cultivators, and executives during Latino Heritage Month.

This year’s programming operates under the theme Collaboration Over Competition, focusing on practical outcomes ranging from intellectual property management to the intricacies of the creator economy. The summit has expanded its scope to include dedicated panels on journalism and influencer marketing, recognizing the growing role media plays in consumer education and brand discovery. Attendees will engage in workshops covering corporate leadership and the unique challenges faced by mothers in the workforce, alongside hands-on cultivation sessions.

Catalyst Cannabis Co. serves as the presenting sponsor, providing a retail framework for the event that includes a curated menu of products compliant with California regulations. Beyond the business sessions, the summit features interactive activations, including a premium vapor bar and a specialized lounge for flower education. In a move to broaden its impact, the organization is intentionally inviting Filipina women to participate, reinforcing a commitment to cross-cultural solidarity. The gathering begins at 8 a.m. with an intention-setting meditation, signaling a shift toward a more holistic approach to professional networking in the cannabis sector.
