Brookfield-backed Njord Luxco Secures 11% Stake in TORM PLC

OCM Njord Holdings S.à r.l. has crossed the 11% threshold in TORM PLC, according to a regulatory filing released September 18, 2026. The investment firm, which falls under the ultimate control of Brookfield Corporation, now holds over 11.3 million A shares in the Danish product tanker operator.

The ownership stake, officially recorded as of September 14, 2026, grants Njord Luxco 11.06% of the total share capital and voting rights in the Hellerup-based shipping company. The entity is jointly controlled by two Luxembourg-based Oaktree Capital Management (OCM) investment vehicles.

TORM PLC, a veteran of the global shipping industry founded in 1889, currently trades on both the Nasdaq Copenhagen and Nasdaq New York exchanges under the ticker symbol TRMD. The company manages a substantial fleet of refined oil product tankers, maintaining a focus on international logistics and maritime safety standards.
