Chery Shifts Focus to Green Tech Ahead of October Summit

From October 18 to 24, Wuhu becomes the epicenter for Chery Auto’s latest push into sustainable mobility. The 2026 International User Summit will serve as a launchpad for nearly 20 green ecosystem innovations, signaling the company’s aggressive transition from a traditional manufacturer to a global high-tech energy player.

The summit arrives as Chery reports a 46.2% surge in new energy vehicle sales, reaching 725,214 units between January and August 2026. Technical benchmarks are central to this growth: the company has pushed hybrid engine thermal efficiency to 48.57% and is testing all-solid-state batteries with an energy density of 400 Wh/kg. Beyond powertrains, Chery is integrating vehicle-to-grid technology to turn cars into active nodes within smart energy networks.

Innovation extends into robotics, with over 3,000 AiMOGA humanoid units already deployed across 60 countries for manufacturing and commercial tasks. During the Wuhu event, the company plans to demonstrate how AI-powered cockpits and human-machine collaboration can merge with sustainable infrastructure. Attendees will also participate in the "Ride Green Life" initiative, a global charity ride designed to promote low-carbon living alongside the company’s existing partnerships with the IUCN and UNICEF.
