Rather than settling for symbolic parity, organizers are prioritizing the direct involvement of women in facility design and the expansion of specialized coaching resources. Her Excellency Sheikha Hind bint Hamad Al Thani emphasized that closing the gender gap requires more than good intentions; it demands a robust scientific research base that currently overlooks the specific physiological and societal needs of female athletes.

His Excellency Dr. Khalilur Rahman, President-Elect of the 81st UN General Assembly, reinforced this perspective by highlighting the transformative potential of team sports on individual confidence and community perception. The dialogue brought together diverse stakeholders, including NBA Africa, Laureus Sport for Good, and Olympic athletes like Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce. Moving forward, the Qatar Foundation and Wilton Park intend to produce a unified roadmap to standardize these efforts globally. This initiative builds on Qatar Foundation’s existing track record, which has facilitated sporting activities for over 70,000 women at Education City in Doha over the last two years.
