Investors Face October Deadline in UWM Holdings Securities Lawsuit

Investors who purchased UWM Holdings Corporation securities between March 9, 2026, and August 5, 2026, face an October 13, 2026, deadline to seek the role of lead plaintiff in an ongoing class action lawsuit. The litigation targets alleged misrepresentations regarding the company’s mortgage servicing hedge positions.

The lawsuit, spearheaded by the Rosen Law Firm, centers on claims that UWM Holdings misled shareholders by deviating from its established strategy. According to the complaint, the company allegedly abandoned its long-standing policy of avoiding hedges on mortgage servicing rights, instead accumulating a significant and risky hedge position in anticipation of the Two Harbors transaction. Plaintiffs argue that these actions created excessive risk, rendering the company’s public statements about its operations and financial health materially false or misleading.

Investors who incurred losses during the identified Class Period may be eligible to participate in the litigation without out-of-pocket costs. While the court has not yet certified a class, those interested in serving as lead plaintiff must file their motions by the October 13 deadline. Participation as a lead plaintiff is not a prerequisite for sharing in any eventual recovery, and investors retain the right to select their own legal counsel or remain absent class members.
