The university’s strategic focus rests on four pillars: enhancing student experiences, fostering connectivity across the alumni network, expanding global impact, and supporting overarching institutional initiatives. These priorities are already manifesting in tangible projects, such as the construction of the MyMichigan Health CMU Medical Education Building in Saginaw and new programs dedicated to student wellness and resilience.

Sarah Opperman, co-chair of the National Campaign Steering Committee, emphasized that the goal extends beyond balance sheets. By providing students with consistent access to resources and professional networks, the university intends to strengthen its influence on local and global communities alike. With the public phase now underway, the institution plans to maintain this momentum through June 2031.
