AGV America Secures $1.25 Million Factoring Deal for Robotics Expansion

A Texas-based autonomous robotics firm, AGV America, has secured a $1.25 million invoice factoring facility from Gateway Commercial Finance. The funding replaces a restrictive local bank line of credit, providing the necessary liquidity to navigate 90-day payment cycles common among its Fortune 500 manufacturing clients.

Founded in 2020, AGV America has scaled rapidly by acting as a technology-agnostic integrator for warehouse automation. The company deploys diverse hardware, ranging from autonomous mobile robots to complex goods-to-person retrieval systems. President Michael Jones noted that independence from specific equipment manufacturers allows the firm to tailor solutions to individual client needs, though this growth created a capital gap due to extended invoicing terms.

Traditional bank financing failed to account for the high creditworthiness of the firm’s customer base, limiting borrowing capacity despite the strength of the underlying receivables. Marc J. Marin, Managing Director at Gateway Commercial Finance, stated that the new facility unlocks capital previously trapped in these long-term invoices. This transition enables the robotics provider to maintain consistent cash flow while pursuing larger-scale automation contracts across the region.
