IEQ Capital Secures Second Place in Barron’s 2026 RIA Rankings

With $49.9 billion in regulatory assets under management, San Francisco-based IEQ Capital has claimed the number two spot in Barron’s 2026 listing of top registered investment advisory firms, specifically recognized for its specialized service to clients holding portfolios valued at $10 million or more.

The annual Barron’s ranking evaluates independent advisory firms across the United States by weighing revenue, total assets, and overall practice quality. For IEQ, which launched in 2019, the placement underscores a rapid expansion from the $46.24 billion in assets reported in its March 2026 Form ADV to its current standing as of June 30.

Rob Skinner, co-founder and managing partner, attributed the firm's trajectory to a concentrated focus on ultra-high-net-worth families. By blending institutional market access with bespoke estate and tax planning, the firm has sought to differentiate itself from traditional wealth managers. While the recognition is based on firm-wide metrics rather than individual portfolio performance, it solidifies IEQ’s footprint in the competitive landscape of multi-family office services.
