The NVIDIA DSX Ready program identifies specific hardware solutions capable of meeting the rigorous design standards of AI factory platforms. By integrating these battery systems, operators can manage the volatile power loads typical of AI compute environments while utilizing features like voltage ride-through and grid-forming capabilities. The qualified systems utilize modular 2.5 MW / 5.1 MWh battery blocks, allowing for scalable expansion as data center energy requirements evolve.
Safety and compliance remain central to this integration, with the architecture engineered to meet Underwriters Laboratories and National Fire Protection Association requirements. Beyond hardware, the move bolsters the company’s position in the North American market, where it currently leverages five regional facilities. Chang Beom Kang, head of the ESS Battery Division, noted that this partnership validates the competitiveness of their technology as they target the digital infrastructure sector. With plans to reach 50 GWh of LFP battery cell production capacity by the end of 2026, the company is positioning its localized supply chain to meet the surging power demands of utility-scale projects and infrastructure developments.
