The transition marks a shift in the corporate landscape for both entities, which operate under the umbrella of private equity investor AURELIUS. EYKON, formerly known as Landis+Gyr EMEA, intends to concentrate its resources on its core expertise in metering, connectivity, and digital infrastructure. According to CEO Alexander Henschel, the company will maintain its commitment to existing customer agreements throughout the handover period to ensure service reliability and continuity.
Sensus International, which employs over 800 people globally, will integrate the new assets into its existing portfolio of thermal energy and water metering solutions. For AURELIUS, the transaction aligns with its history of managing complex carve-outs and platform build-ups. While EYKON pivots toward its digital utility services, the sale provides a clearer operational mandate for both organizations to pursue their respective market strengths.
