The Precure, LLC initiative, a collaboration between the Mayo Clinic and Thermo Fisher Scientific, seeks to build one of the largest multi-omic datasets in medical history. Helix, Inc. will act as the primary lab and AI provider, deploying a fleet of Ultima’s UG200 sequencing systems to process the vast influx of biological information. This infrastructure is designed to bridge the gap between complex genomic patterns and actionable clinical insights.

Ultima’s selection follows the launch of the UG200, a platform capable of producing up to 60,000 whole genomes annually. The technology relies on recent advancements, including Solaris 2.0 chemistry and pangenome alignment tools developed alongside NVIDIA. By lowering the cost of high-throughput sequencing, the project intends to overcome traditional barriers that previously limited the depth and frequency of genomic research in patient care. Gilad Almogy, CEO of Ultima Genomics, stated that the convergence of low-cost sequencing, proteomics, and longitudinal outcomes creates a new frontier for medical diagnostics and therapeutics.
