Rehlko Doubles Backup Power Capacity at Changzhou Facility

To meet the surging power demands of AI infrastructure and data centers, Rehlko has expanded the annual backup capacity at its Changzhou manufacturing site from 5.5 GW to 11 GW. This strategic shift strengthens the company’s ability to supply critical energy systems across Asia, EMEA, and Latin America.

The capacity upgrade achieves a twofold increase in output without requiring any physical expansion of the existing facility. By integrating smart production lines, automated guided vehicles, and advanced warehousing systems, Rehlko has streamlined its manufacturing processes to improve efficiency. These upgrades have already pushed the site's first-pass yield from 93% to 98% while driving a significant rise in shipment revenue since 2020.

Brian Melka, President and CEO of Rehlko, noted that the Changzhou hub remains central to the company’s global reach. The facility produces generator systems ranging from 6 kW to 4,000 kW, serving as a vital link in a broader manufacturing network that includes sites in France and the United States. This expansion aligns with the company's ongoing strategy to bolster supply chain resilience amid increasing global grid instability and the rapid growth of the semiconductor and digitalization sectors.
