Dumont, a veteran with nearly two decades of experience at firms including Cooley LLP and Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, will spearhead the development of a practice focused on SEC reporting, stock exchange compliance, and capital markets transactions. His background includes serving on the AI Task Force at Cooley, aligning with Norm Law's strategy to utilize Norm Ai’s proprietary technology to streamline legal workflows. By embedding AI engineers alongside legal counsel, the firm intends to improve precision and reduce the time spent on repetitive execution, allowing senior lawyers to prioritize high-level negotiation and risk assessment.

Pepeljugoski joins the firm following his tenure as an in-house M&A leader at Clarivate and previous roles at Ropes & Gray and Cravath, Swaine & Moore. He will focus on advising private equity sponsors and boards, leveraging his dual perspective as both outside counsel and internal corporate leadership. According to Mike Schmidtberger, Chairman of Norm Law, the firm’s objective is to move away from fixed, traditional legal practices, instead building service models around the capabilities of modern agentic systems. This approach seeks to provide institutional clients with compounding knowledge, where prior decisions and preferred positions are integrated into future work to enhance strategic value.
