The project centers on a 2.3-hectare vineyard overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea, where participants receive professional training in cellar and vineyard management. By working alongside Frescobaldi’s experts, inmates gain practical skills intended to aid their transition into the workforce upon release. The site, characterized by iron-rich soils and constant maritime breezes, produces a blend of Vermentino and Ansonica grapes that capture the saline profile of the Tuscan Archipelago.

The 2025 vintage reflects a growing season defined by a cool, damp winter and a mild spring, followed by a summer heat wave tempered by the island's maritime climate. This environment resulted in a straw-yellow wine with notes of Mediterranean herbs, chamomile, and citrus. The palate remains consistent with the estate's coastal focus, offering a fresh, sapid finish. For the Frescobaldi family, which has operated in Tuscany for seven centuries, the initiative represents an effort to merge traditional winemaking with social responsibility at their most isolated estate.
