To bridge this gap, the next generation of tradespeople is calling for earlier exposure to manual work and more robust financial support. Data indicates that 45% of respondents favor hands-on experience, while 38% advocate for expanded earn-while-you-learn apprenticeships. Addressing these barriers is a central focus for Stanley Black & Decker, which is currently sponsoring Team USA participants Charlie Goede and Tristan Coates as part of its ongoing efforts to formalize pathways into the trades.
