Levine brings over 25 years of experience to the role, balancing a background in federal prosecution with private-sector consulting. During his time at the Department of Justice, he served as the National Coordinator for 300 federal cybercrime prosecutors. His career has spanned commercial litigation at AmLaw 100 firms and the oversight of over 500 risk assessments, providing him with a vantage point that connects regulatory enforcement with board-level strategy.
At Control Risks, Levine will oversee a division dedicated to helping organizations prepare for and recover from cyber incidents. James Owen, speaking for the firm, noted that the appointment is designed to bolster their capacity to handle complex threats across the Americas. For his part, Levine views the transition as an opportunity to address the reality that modern cyber incidents rarely exist in isolation, often serving as indicators of deeper, multifaceted risks that demand a unified corporate response.
