Speediance Shifts Focus From Hardware to AI-Driven Fitness Ecosystem

Moving beyond its roots in single-product home gyms, Speediance is transitioning into an AI-integrated fitness platform. On September 18, the company unveiled a new hardware lineup alongside three specialized AI capabilities, aiming to weave training, recovery, and physiological data into a cohesive experience layer known as AEVIS.

The company’s portfolio expansion introduces four distinct hardware solutions, each serving a specific training niche. The Gym Monster Ultra stands as the flagship model, offering 260 pounds of digital resistance, while the Gym Monster 3 provides a freestanding home solution. For portability, the 8.2-kilogram Gym Nano tracks real-time power metrics, and the new Speediance Strap utilizes greenteg Calera technology to monitor core body temperature, providing physiological context to the user’s recovery cycle.

At the center of this transformation is the AEVIS software platform, currently in public beta across 105 markets. By connecting to Apple Watch and integrating with the company's equipment, AEVIS facilitates the CARE Loop—a cycle of collecting data, analyzing performance, generating recommendations, and executing workouts. This system is supported by three internal AI projects: Votus, which reconstructs 3D movement via phone cameras; Oryn, an assistant for training and nutrition decisions; and Somni, a research-stage model exploring how lifestyle choices impact long-term physical capacity. While the company emphasizes that these tools are intended for general wellness rather than medical diagnosis, the roadmap indicates an increasing reliance on AI to bridge the gap between raw data and physical training execution.
