Flatkey Secures $10M Series A to Consolidate Fragmented AI Infrastructure

Within two months of its July 2026 debut, San Jose-based startup Flatkey has attracted over 10,000 developers to its unified API platform. The company, which streamlines access to more than 100 official AI models and 1,000 tools, announced a $10 million Series A funding round to scale its routing infrastructure.

Modern AI development often requires managing a chaotic stack of individual provider accounts, separate billing cycles, and distinct API keys. Flatkey aims to replace this fragmentation by routing calls directly to official provider endpoints—including OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and DeepSeek—under a single balance. By purchasing capacity in bulk, the platform offers these services at 60% to 90% of standard list prices, positioning itself as production-grade infrastructure rather than a simple wrapper.

Founder Hunter Guo emphasizes that the future of the industry lies in orchestrating complex workflows that combine text, image, and video models with external data tools. Instead of integrating new vendors for every release, developers can switch models via a parameter change. The new capital will be used to expand the platform's catalog of tools and models, ensuring that users can access the latest releases on day one without the overhead of manual vendor onboarding.
