Bay Crane to Liquidate Heavy Equipment in Absolute Auction

Bay Crane Companies will auction a significant portion of its heavy equipment fleet on October 20, 2026, at its Midwest facility in Columbus, Ohio. The event, managed by Jeff Martin Auctioneers, operates as an absolute sale, meaning every item will be sold to the highest bidder without minimum prices or reserves.

The auction follows a series of recent corporate acquisitions by Bay Crane, prompting a strategic update to its inventory. By offloading excess machinery, the company aims to streamline its operations while maintaining a modern, high-capacity fleet. The sale features working-condition iron, with assets stationed both at the Columbus hub and across various job sites throughout the Eastern and Midwestern United States.

Jeff Martin, President and CEO of the auction firm, noted that the partnership reflects a shared commitment to industry integrity and client service. Prospective buyers can inspect inventory via a live simulcast or by reviewing online listings, which include detailed photographs and asset locations updated daily. For Bay Crane, which currently ranks as the third-largest crane rental firm in North America, the event serves as a tactical reallocation of resources to support ongoing investments in large-scale infrastructure projects.
