Running from November 6 through March 2028, the retrospective examines how Miller transitioned from a struggling songwriter in the 1950s to a country-pop titan in the 1960s. The collection features over a decade of personal artifacts, including the Gibson C-1E guitar used to record "King of the Road" and the fiddle gifted to him as a young boy by Sheb Wooley. Beyond the instruments, the museum highlights Miller's sharp, often absurd comedic sensibilities that defined his persona and influenced generations of artists, from Willie Nelson to Kacey Musgraves.

"Roger Miller was a singular creative force," said Kyle Young, CEO of the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. The exhibit also includes rare footage, archival photographs, and a short film narrated by Marty Stuart, providing context to a career that spanned the Grand Ole Opry, Broadway, and Las Vegas. To coincide with the launch, the museum will host a series of public programs, including a panel discussion on November 7 featuring Miller’s widow, Mary Miller, and his longtime friend Bill Anderson. A companion catalog, featuring a foreword by Dwight Yoakam, will be available through the museum store and national retailers.
