The new model draws inspiration from kigumi, the ancient Japanese woodworking technique of joinery without metal fasteners. Metal leaf artist Hiroto Rakusho collaborated on the design, applying powdered platinum to the latticework dial to ensure each piece possesses unique character. The theme of haruka, or eternity, serves as the conceptual foundation for the release, aiming to reflect strength that persists through time.

Technological innovation complements this craftsmanship. Casio utilizes ultrashort-pulse lasers to generate structural color on the bezel and bracelet, creating iridescent effects that shift depending on the viewing angle. The watch is built on the MRG-B2100 octagonal architecture, using high-durability alloys to maintain the brand's signature shock resistance. The bezel consists of 27 individual components, each hand-polished before assembly, while the bracelet and casing incorporate COBARION and DAT55G alloys to balance refined aesthetics with industrial toughness.
