Pratt & Whitney plans to shift its entire PW1100G-JM production line to the Advantage specification by 2028. For operators of the current GTF fleet, a Hot Section Plus upgrade will become available early next year. This mid-life maintenance option aims to deliver up to 95% of the durability gains found in the newer engine model, providing an immediate pathway for airlines to enhance fleet reliability without retiring existing assets.
