MetaOptics Launches U.S. ADR Program to Boost American Investor Access

Singapore-based semiconductor optics firm MetaOptics Ltd has launched a sponsored Level 1 American Depositary Receipt program, enabling its shares to trade on the OTCQX market. By partnering with J.P. Morgan as the depositary bank, the company aims to bridge the gap between its Catalist-listed stock and the U.S. capital markets.

The new ADR program facilitates easier access for U.S. investors without requiring the issuance of new shares or additional capital raising. MetaOptics maintains its primary listing on the Singapore Exchange’s Catalist board, ensuring existing shareholders see no dilution from the move. The company secured its spot on OTCQX—the highest-tier market operated by OTC Markets Group—by meeting strict financial standards and corporate governance requirements.

This expansion aligns with the firm’s growing U.S. physical footprint, which includes the development of a front-end semiconductor fabrication line for 12-inch DUV immersion photolithography. Executive Chairman Thng Chong Kim noted the program serves as a strategic platform to increase awareness of the company’s metalens technology and image processing solutions. By providing a dedicated trading channel, MetaOptics intends to enhance liquidity and visibility among institutional investors as it scales its commercial operations and research collaborations at institutions like Stanford and the University of Arizona.
