Fresha scales its software footprint as global barbering turns corporate

A 108% surge in active barber partners over the past year has cemented Fresha as the dominant digital infrastructure for the global grooming industry. The London-based booking platform is now shifting from a simple scheduling tool to a comprehensive management engine for high-growth franchises and independent professionals across five continents.

The platform’s expansion tracks a broader trend toward commercial sophistication within the trade. As barbers pivot from solitary chair work to managing multi-location franchises and international education academies, they increasingly rely on Fresha’s integrated suite for payments, marketing, and team oversight. Major industry players including MENSPIRE, Rascals, and Ted’s Grooming Room have adopted the system to handle complex operations that scale beyond the traditional shop floor.

To bridge the gap between technical utility and industry culture, the company has recruited a roster of global ambassadors, including Josh Lamonaca and Sheldon Edwards. These educators work alongside the development team to refine features like the AI Concierge, which manages client communications during peak service hours. By sponsoring major events such as HairCon and HAIRFEST, Fresha is positioning itself not merely as a vendor, but as a central hub for the profession’s evolving elite. CEO William Zeqiri notes that this growth is driven by the industry's shift toward building enduring, multi-faceted brands that require robust, cloud-based operational controls.
