The delegation representing the Wenzhou-based site formalized partnerships with the Jeonbuk West Coast UNESCO Global Geopark and the Rinjani-Lombok UNESCO Global Geopark. These accords follow a previous agreement with Chile’s Kütralkura UNESCO Global Geopark, signaling a strategic shift toward deeper cross-border collaboration. The participating parks intend to align efforts in geological research, science education, and sustainable cultural tourism, while facilitating staff exchanges to bolster regional development.

Beyond the signing ceremonies, the Yandangshan team utilized the platform to showcase regional achievements in community empowerment and business innovation. The exhibition booth highlighted Yueqing’s local products, including Yandang Maofeng tea, alongside educational materials designed to promote the park’s geological heritage. During the event, Yandangshan officially received its Global Geoparks Network membership certificate, marking its integration into a collective focused on innovative geotourism and shared environmental stewardship.
