Turlov, the founder and CEO of Freedom Holding Corp., campaigned on a platform of structural transparency and digital integration. His transition to the role comes alongside five-time World Champion Viswanathan Anand, who serves as Deputy President. The new administration intends to implement a unified global platform for players, consolidating ratings, online competition, and educational resources into a single digital profile.

Financial reform serves as a cornerstone of his mandate. Turlov has committed over $8.5 million to a dedicated development fund, aiming to double the grant resources available to national federations. Governance changes are expected to follow his corporate experience, including the introduction of independent external audits and the regular publication of financial statements. Beyond administrative shifts, Turlov emphasized his intent to integrate chess into school curricula globally, leveraging his experience as President of the International School Chess Federation to push for institutional recognition of the game.
