Julius Tikkanen, Vice President of Video Service Platforms at Teleste, emphasized that the transition to streaming backends should not dictate the end-user interface. The receiver supports MPEG-DASH streams and Widevine DRM, converting them into MPEG transport streams for either local IP multicast or QAM distribution. The system's modular design allows for simultaneous IP and QAM outputs, providing flexibility for sites with mixed hardware requirements. Each Luminato 4X4 chassis supports up to six hot-swappable modules, ensuring that both new deployments and existing installations can integrate the upgrade without a complete system overhaul.
