The new platform supports the full lifecycle of supply chain finance, including supplier onboarding, risk management, and secondary market distribution. By leveraging a cloud-native architecture, the software offers straight-through processing and connects to existing ERP systems via the Nexus API suite. This approach aims to provide banks with a holistic view of credit limits, exposures, and invoice data across multiple financial products.
Vinay Mendonca, head of product for Trade Supply Chain Finance at Finastra, stated that the move allows institutions to capture new revenue streams while reducing operational risks and regulatory complexity. The system incorporates AI-driven tools for fraud detection and compliance screening, facilitating the management of large-scale counterparty networks. While the current release focuses on payables and receivables finance, future updates are expected to include inventory and purchase order financing as the company expands its connected working capital ecosystem.
