Barlis brings an unconventional background to the stage, having transitioned into stand-up comedy after a career as a professional golfer. Her comedic style draws from her life experiences, ranging from the dynamics of a loud Greek household to the pressures of elite sports. Since pivoting to comedy, she has maintained a rigorous pace, logging over 300 performances in the past 15 months. She credits this momentum to the same mental discipline she utilized during her time as a professional athlete.

Beyond her stage work, Barlis is an accomplished author and a Licensed Master Trainer of Neuro-Linguistic Programming. Her creative output extends to film, with her documentary series, Kalliope's From Fear to Freedom, earning numerous festival awards. Following the October showcase, she will launch the KFC Tour alongside fellow comedian Felicia Madison, with upcoming stops scheduled in Connecticut, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Texas. The Ladies of Laughter event remains a significant milestone, having previously launched the careers of notable performers such as Amy Schumer and Michelle Buteau.
