The two-year extension data reveals that young patients maintained improvements in muscle strength and daily physical function through Week 108. Clinical assessments showed mean changes from baseline of -2.88 points in the Myasthenia Gravis Activities of Daily Living (MG-ADL) score and -8.25 in the Quantitative Myasthenia Gravis (QMG) score. Of the six adolescents requiring corticosteroids at the start of the study, half were able to reduce their dosage, while one discontinued the medication entirely. Johnson & Johnson reported no new safety signals during the observation period.

Beyond pediatric outcomes, a retrospective survey of neurologists highlighted the challenges of managing adult gMG. Clinicians identified fluctuating symptom control as the primary driver—cited by 54.6% of respondents—for abandoning previous advanced therapies. When transitioning to IMAAVY, 62.9% of providers prioritized the drug's consistent treatment schedule, with 73.2% of patients reported as showing significant improvement. IMAAVY remains the only FcRn blocker currently approved for pediatric patients aged 12 and older with anti-AChR or anti-MuSK antibody-positive gMG.
