Beyond immediate meal distribution, the initiative maintains a focus on emergency preparedness. PG&E has secured agreements with 25 food banks in high fire-risk zones to maintain food supply chains during Public Safety Power Shutoff events. These provisions include specific support for seniors enrolled in Meals on Wheels, ensuring that power outages do not disrupt access to essential nutrition.
