LaserAway Marks Two Decades of Growth with 233rd Clinic Opening

Two decades after launching a single West Hollywood clinic, LaserAway has reached a milestone with the opening of its 233rd location in Estero, Florida. The company, which maintains a strictly corporate-owned model rather than franchising, has expanded across 36 states while avoiding a single site closure since its 2006 inception.

Founded by Dr. Roy Winston alongside brothers Scott, Brock, and Todd Heckmann, the aesthetic dermatology brand transformed from a niche Sunset Boulevard operation into a nationwide provider. CEO Scott Heckmann attributes this trajectory to a focus on making professional dermatological care accessible, shifting the industry standard toward more inclusive, convenient service models.

The new Coconut Point facility in Estero joins a network supported by a medical board of over 25 dermatologists. Under the guidance of Chief Medical Officer Dr. Will Kirby, the company employs a staff of 700 nurses to perform treatments ranging from Botox and dermal fillers to body contouring and laser hair removal. By keeping all locations under private ownership, the group maintains direct oversight of clinical standards across its entire footprint, ensuring that its expansion into Florida mirrors the operational model established in Los Angeles 20 years ago.
