Celsius Holdings Faces Class Action Over Alani Nu Marketing Practices

A federal class action lawsuit has been filed against Celsius Holdings, Inc., alleging the company misled investors regarding the safety and marketing of its Alani Nu energy drinks. The litigation focuses on claims that the firm targeted teenagers with high-caffeine products while suppressing information about potential cardiac risks.

The complaint covers investors who acquired Celsius securities between February 21, 2025, and June 3, 2026. According to the filing, a single 12-ounce Alani Nu beverage contains 200 milligrams of caffeine—double the daily limit recommended for individuals aged 12 to 17. Despite public assurances that the company avoids marketing to minors, the lawsuit asserts that Celsius failed to disclose the specific cardiac dangers posed to younger consumers.

Legal scrutiny intensified following the April 2026 report of a wrongful death lawsuit involving a 17-year-old Texas cheerleader, whose family alleged her fatal heart condition resulted from consuming the drinks. Celsius shares dropped 4.18% following that disclosure. Market volatility deepened on June 4, 2026, when Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton launched an investigation into whether the company violated the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act. Following the announcement of the state inquiry, the stock price fell an additional 7.53% to close at $27.75. Investors seeking to participate in the class action must contact Robbins LLP by the November 3, 2026, lead plaintiff deadline.
