Princeton NuEnergy is currently exploring the establishment of a dedicated recycling plant near SKBA’s existing operations. This proximity is intended to streamline the logistics of handling manufacturing scrap, which the company processes using its proprietary Cathode-to-Cathode technology. Unlike traditional smelting or hydrometallurgical methods that reduce materials to basic elements, this direct approach preserves the engineered structure of the cathode, allowing for faster reintegration into the manufacturing stream.

The venture arrives as Princeton NuEnergy nears a $50 million funding agreement with the U.S. Department of Energy, part of a broader $110 million initiative to scale domestic rejuvenation facilities. For SK Battery America, which has invested $2.6 billion into its Georgia production hub, the partnership offers a path to reduce dependence on imported raw materials. Both companies are currently refining the technical and commercial parameters of the collaboration, which is designed to bolster the resilience of the U.S. electric vehicle supply chain.
