The new fund represents a 30 percent increase over Stride’s debut vehicle, which closed in 2022 with $420 million. Founding Partner Tim Burke noted that the raise was bolstered by a loyal base of returning investors—many of whom backed the firm during its unconventional 2020 roadshow—alongside new institutional partners. The firm continues to target high-growth companies across four specific segments: beauty and personal care, food and beverage, active lifestyle, and multi-unit services.
Stride distinguishes itself by embedding operating partners directly into portfolio management teams to assist with scaling and strategic planning. Founders within the firm’s current stable, including those behind brands like Truewerk and Patrick Ta Beauty, highlight this hands-on approach as a primary driver of their growth. With the new capital in place, Stride plans to accelerate its strategy of partnering with visionary leaders who prioritize deep, lasting consumer connections. Campbell Lutyens served as the placement agent for the fund, with legal counsel provided by Latham & Watkins, LLP.
