Based on John E. Stith’s acclaimed novel, the project is spearheaded by creator and director Sky Conway under Skyrocket Studios. The narrative centers on a hijacked Manhattan, now one of many captive cities housed within a massive interstellar mothership. The production team is employing authorized digital recreation to feature Lee Majors as a younger version of his Six Million Dollar Man persona, while Nichelle Nichols, who passed away in 2022, appears as the astrophysicist Nova Taylor.

Joining the leads are Herbert Jefferson Jr. of Battlestar Galactica fame, Jason Faunt, and Chalet Brannan. Kyle Johnson, son and executor of the Nichols estate, confirmed his mother’s long-standing desire to participate in the project, noting her decades-long friendship with Conway. With over one-third of the pilot production finished, the studio intends to shop the project to major streaming platforms and networks as a proof-of-concept for AI-integrated storytelling.
