Investors Face November Deadline in Unicycive Securities Class Action

Shareholders of Unicycive Therapeutics are facing a November 2, 2026, deadline to seek lead plaintiff status in a class action lawsuit. The litigation targets alleged misrepresentations regarding manufacturing compliance, which led to a 39.1% collapse in share price following an unfavorable FDA regulatory update.

The legal action, filed in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, concerns investors who purchased UNCY securities between December 29, 2025, and June 29, 2026. According to the complaint, Unicycive failed to disclose that it had not conducted its own inspections of a third-party manufacturing vendor, despite public assurances that regulatory clearance for its lead product, oxylanthanum carbonate, remained on track.

The discrepancy surfaced after the FDA issued a second Complete Response Letter citing unresolved current good manufacturing practice (cGMP) deficiencies. While the company’s SEC filings warned of potential delays, the lawsuit contends that management characterized progress toward compliance based on vendor conversations rather than verified inspection results. On June 30, 2026, the company’s stock price fell from a class period high of $8.56 to close at $4.69, a single-day loss of $3.01 per share.
