The project involves a full repositioning of the 61-unit site, which originally opened in 2000. Renovations are scheduled to span the next year, with the goal of establishing the region's first community dedicated exclusively to memory loss care. Situated on three acres near Old Town Bluffton, the facility occupies a strategic corridor between Interstate 95 and Hilton Head Island, a region that saw its population surge by over 120% between 2010 and 2020.

Blake F. Church, Executive Managing Director at Kauhale Health, described the project as one of the company's most ambitious undertakings. He noted that the firm intends to combine specialized clinical environments with a design focused on connection and resident peace of mind. This acquisition represents Kauhale’s fifth in four years, signaling a continued expansion of their senior living investment platform. The company currently manages approximately 1,000 units across five states, utilizing a model that integrates real estate ownership with internal operational management.
