Staff members spent two weeks transforming raw pumpkins into elaborate displays, a tradition that Marketing and Community Development Leader Teresa Di Falco describes as a vital bridge between the medical team and local families. Beyond the competition, the event serves as an outreach effort: visitors can pick up complimentary first-aid kits, while children are offered candy and small gifts. The first five young voters at each site will receive additional prizes.
Once the winners are revealed on social media on October 15, the decorated pumpkins will be donated to local schools and libraries. This initiative aligns with the facility's broader philanthropic work, including a recurring partnership with Community Partners of Dallas. Advance ER continues to support the non-profit by providing comfort items like glow-in-the-dark blankets and pillows to children navigating trauma. Residents can also engage with the team during the upcoming NorthPark Pumpkin Patch carnival on October 4.
