The new series addresses the mechanical challenges of harsh environments by incorporating anti-vibration fill, which secures internal components against constant physical agitation. For deployments exposed to moisture or corrosive elements, the manufacturer offers optional conformal coating to shield circuitry. Performance capabilities reach 5,085 MB/s for read operations and 4,765 MB/s for writes, supported by PCIe Gen4 x4 interfaces and industrial-grade 3D TLC NAND to maintain stability during continuous data logging or AI edge processing.

Security remains a primary focus, moving beyond software-based encryption to hardware-enforced safeguards. The drives include a physical trigger that initiates high-voltage destruction of the NAND Flash controller and memory cells, rendering the silicon permanently unusable in the event of a security compromise. Beyond these destructive capabilities, the T459 series adds advanced flash management technologies, including dynamic SLC caching and over-provisioning, to extend drive endurance in write-intensive environments. The hardware is available in capacities up to 2TB, with wide-temperature variants capable of operating between -40°C and +85°C.
