Habitat for Humanity Launches Donor Circle Honoring Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter

Named for former President Jimmy Carter and former First Lady Rosalynn Carter, the newly formed Carter Circle recognizes a select group of corporate partners and individual donors. The initiative aims to sustain the organization's mission of providing affordable housing through long-term strategic investment and leadership-level support.

The inaugural group includes major corporate entities such as Lowe's, State Farm, Wells Fargo, and Whirlpool, alongside a roster of individual philanthropists like J. Ronald Terwilliger and the Edwardson Family Foundation. These members are tasked with carrying forward the Carters’ decades-long advocacy for decent, accessible housing as a fundamental human right.

"The Carter Circle reflects the impact possible when people and organizations align under a shared vision," said Jonathan Reckford, CEO of Habitat for Humanity International. By pooling resources from these leadership-level donors, the organization intends to expand its capacity to help families secure stable housing, a goal the nonprofit has pursued since its founding in 1976. This community of supporters represents the latest effort to scale the organization's global reach, which has already provided housing access to more than 65 million people.
