Precoro Debuts Virtual Cards to Tighten Corporate Spend Control

U.S.-registered businesses can now issue fee-free virtual cards directly through the Precoro procurement platform, integrating employee spending into the company's existing financial infrastructure. By shifting from traditional corporate credit cards to pre-funded, rule-based payment tools, firms can enforce automated spending limits before transactions occur.

The new card system addresses a common gap in procurement workflows: the tendency for one-time or local purchases to bypass central approval processes. By linking these transactions to the Precoro Financial Account, finance teams gain the ability to set granular limits by transaction amount and timeframe. Any purchase exceeding these predefined boundaries is automatically declined, effectively eliminating the need for manual expense reports or the risks associated with shared physical cards.

Management of these cards is handled through a unified dashboard, allowing mid-market companies to oversee spending across multiple subsidiaries and legal entities. Because the system leverages the existing Stripe infrastructure used by Precoro Payments, companies that have previously completed verification can activate the feature without repeating the full Know Your Business (KYB) process. According to CEO Andrew Zhyvolovych, this consolidation allows finance departments to maintain oversight of decentralized spending while providing employees with a faster, more streamlined payment method.
