The Louisville-based trade show, owned by the Outdoor Power Equipment Institute (OPEI), continues to see surging interest from industry professionals. Last year, the event drew 30,000 attendees to its 1.2 million square feet of space, marking a 12 percent increase in landscaper participation and a 17 percent jump in dealer attendance. For five consecutive years, the exhibit floor has sold out well ahead of schedule.
Kris Kiser, president of OPEI, attributes this success to a year-round commitment to programming that resonates with contractors and manufacturers. Beyond the trade floor, the event features a 30-acre outdoor demonstration yard where attendees test machinery under real-world conditions. Since taking management in-house in 2022, OPEI has secured 19 award nominations, including accolades for innovation and attendee acquisition. The upcoming edition is scheduled for October 20–23 at the Kentucky Exposition Center, before the event begins a planned biannual rotation between Louisville and Orlando in 2029.
